The new year is new beginings!

Wow it has been crazy around here.... After the New year began, we went down to Wyoming again to visit my grandparents. It was a very relaxing time and the weather was great and we stayed down there for two days. The day after we got back, I started my job which is at a place called Elk River Systems and they do a lot of ticket printing for concerts, venues, weddings, plays, and so on. We stay pretty busy and today I got overtime because we were so busy.... but hey no complaints! It is in Harlowton, so I have a bit of a commute to work... but at least it is a pretty one! Now I can start paying Alex's parents back for the car they helped me get. Alex went off to school last week and seems to enjoy his classes so far... he is taking 16 credits this semester so he can officially be a junior next year! Pray for him though, he is taking a math class.... his most dreaded subject! He does seem to like his math teacher though which is a good thing. I miss him though :( About a week before Alex went back, a pipe in his condo broke which left quite a bit of water damage. That is still being repaired as we speak though... but Alex is devastated! We have been getting some snow up here. The first storm of 2010 shut down the highway so I got a picture up of all the trucks lined up outside of the house.... but the blizzard put some pretty mean drifts in the Gap. We have had some below freezing temperatures the past few days, followed by more snow, and more snow to come! Joy.... other than that, not much has been happening here. Alex bought me cowboy boots though! I have been wanting a pair for quite some time. I have been working with the horses some, cleaning out the stalls and giving them water and what not which is the sole reason why alex bought me boots! But that is it for now!

Christmas and New Years

Christmas has come and gone, and New Years has done the same. Christmas was a blast. Landon (Alex's nephew) tore everyone's Christmas presents open... he had a ball! Alex got everything he was asking for and I got more than I even anticipated! We opened presents on Christmas eve night after church and a couple of Tom and Jerry's... But not too many! lol. Alex got a new winter jacket, a turkey roaster, a food processor, scarves, and his tie that he has been wanting. I got a super cute pair of boots a hysterical shirt (The front says hunting widow, and the back says my husband is a trophy hunter that is why he has me) I love it!, and a 1950's Betty Crocker cookbook... so fun!!!! Anyways, Alex's parents just made it the best Christmas for me for just involving me and actually caring and wanting it to be fun for me since they know it was hard to have my first Christmas away from family. After Christmas though I realized that they are my family and it is because they treat me like family that I respect them more. Christmas day Alex's brothers came over so there were 8 little ones running around... but it was so fun because they were so cute! Then New Years came around and we were going to go to a couple of parties but ended up staying home and watching a movie because Alex was exhausted, poor guy. So we ended up passing out at 11:53pm... so close! lol. Alex is going snowmobiling next monday I believe and then the following monday we are heading down to Wyomming to visit my grandparents again and hang out with them. Other than that, I am going car shopping soon to find a cheap car that I can drive to Harlow to work. Alex goes back to school on the 25th and I am going to miss him!
